PROBLEM |
CARE & FIXES |
Dust and Dirt |
Dust and dirt especially on decks needs to be cleaned by hosting with fresh water periodically. Stubborn debris can be pressure hosed and nylon brushed along the length of the profile. Mild soap solution with warm water can be used for persistent dirt. |
Plant and Leaf Stains |
Brush away and hose off all loose plant matter, First use warm water with a mild detergent with brushing to remove stains. If persistent use a stronger detergent with low concentration oxalic acid with brushing. |
Garden Manure and
Red Soil |
Brush away and hose off all loose matter. First use warm water with a mild detergent with brushing to remove stains. If persistent use a stronger detergent with low concentration oxalic acid with brushing |
Salt Deposits |
Brush away and hose off all loose salt particles. Use warm water with a mild detergent with brushing to remove stains. If persistent allow surface to dry and sand mildly to remove all traces of salt deposits. |
Rust and Pigment Stains |
Brush away and hose the surface. First use warm water with a mild detergent with brushing to remove stains. If persistent use a stronger detergent with low concentration oxalic / phosphoric acid with brushing. |
Cement and Construction Debris |
Brush away and high pressure hose off all cement particles. Use warm water with a mild detergent with hard bristle brushing to remove debris. If persistent allow surface to dry and sand mildly to remove all traces of cement deposits. |
Food, Beverages and Oil Stains |
Hose surface with water first. Use any solution with content of acetone xylene or methanol and wipe the stains in the plank or section direction. If persistent sand mildly to remove stain and use solution again if necessary. |
Paint Stains |
Hose surface with water first. Use any solution with content of acetone xylene or methanol and wipe the stains in the plank or section direction. If persistent sand mildly to remove stain and use solution again if necessary. |
Mold & Mildew |
Mold or mildew needs to be cleaned by hosing with fresh water periodically. Stubborn mold can be pressure hosed and
nylon brushed along the length of the profile. Mild soap solution with warm water can be used for persistent dirt. |
Scratches and Abrasions |
Scratches and mild abrasions will disappear over time, however deep abrasions and scuffs can be mildly sanded in the direction of the profile to be removed. |
